Creative Clarity & Practice

We’ll focus on refining your artistic vision and building a sustainable creative practice. Whether you’re seeking a clearer direction in your work or looking to develop a more consistent creative routine, this session helps you align your artistic goals with daily practice. Together, we’ll explore your creative process, identify areas for growth, and craft a personalized plan that supports both your inspiration and productivity. This session is designed to help you cultivate clarity and establish a practice that nurtures your creativity over the long term.

Group Guidance Program

The Group Guidance Program is a supportive, three-month journey for artists who believe that we don’t have to have all the answers; we just need to accept where we are and move forward authentically. Meeting every other week, this small group creates a space to share insights, exchange constructive feedback, and celebrate the work. Whether you’re feeling stuck or inspired, this program is designed to support the navigation of your practice during our time together.

Continued Guidance

Creative growth is an ongoing journey, and follow-up sessions are available for those seeking continued support and guidance. Whether you want to dive deeper into what we’ve explored, check in on your progress, or tackle new challenges, these sessions provide ongoing clarity and accountability. You can book follow-up sessions individually as needed or as part of a package for a more consistent, long-term approach.

Custom Guidance

In addition to the structured sessions I offer, you can also book a Custom Guidance Session tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re navigating a creative challenge that doesn’t fit neatly into the existing formats or seeking more holistic guidance on your artistic journey, this session is flexible and designed just for you. We can explore anything from long-term creative strategies to personal breakthroughs, offering support and clarity where you need it most.

About the facilitator

  • Jen studied foundations at the Columbus College of Art and Design, earned a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Seton Hill University, and a master’s degree in photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design. She also completed coursework in art therapy at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Seton Hill University.

  • Jen has facilitated women’s groups and artist projects with success, including the Red Tent, You Are Here’s Women in Art Group, and The Artist’s Way Book Club.
    She led the MAD LAB community art project at You Are Here.
    Jen has taught art to groups of children, one on one lessons, and run online courses for artists.
    Jen’s work in art therapy studies included research and work with children, adults, and peers, as well as workshops with specific mediums and methods.

  • Jen sees potential in people and the world and acts as a catalyst for action toward that potential.

    She believes in: the power of imagination, community, and creative action. Collective liberation, healing, social and restorative justice. Abolition, universal basic income, education, and housing. And that artists know the way.

How it works:

  • Purchase a session from the Guidance page. I’ll follow up to get it scheduled with you!

  • You fill out an online questionnaire. I get the results and create questions that I’ll ask you in our session.

  • When we meet on private video chat, we’ll have a conversation, guided by the questions I’ve prepared just for you. The session will be about an hour long. Sessions are recorded.

  • After your session is complete, you’ll get a link to a Playbook, where you’ll be able to access and download all of the content generated from your session.

    This typically includes: the recorded meeting, a transcript, a summary, insights, ideas, and list of potential actions.

    Depending on the nature of your session, I’ll also deliver different resources for you, such as artist statement samples, helpful lists, and ideas to explore in the future.

    You should receive all of this typically within a few days of your session.

  • This depends on what you need.

    Some people may want to take some time to digest and work with everything I deliver.

    Some people may know they want me to go through all of the findings with them in another session right away.

    If you want to meet with me once, every few months, or every week for a year, we can do whatever makes sense for YOU and YOUR creative path.

    You may pay session by session as needed, or purchase a package of sessions at once. You don’t have to decide before we get started together.
